New Massage Requirements for IL and National Board Exam!

Hello students and massage therapists,

The office of INHE would like to inform you of some changes that will be occurring during the next few months in regards to the State of Illinois Licensing requirements and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork requirements.Therefore, we will be hosting a free conference on the following topics:

Date and time: Monday, April 30^th, 2012 - 5:30 pm to 6:30pm

Location: INHE 610 E. North St. Bradley IL

Topics:

1. New minimum requirements to be licensed in the State of Illinois after January1, 2014.

2. The elimination of National Certified Credential from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork after December 2012.

3. The new Board Certified Credential beginning in the first quarter of 2013 from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork

4. The new 750 hours of education requirement and a minimum of 250 hours of hands-on work experience by the NCBTMB in the first quarter of 2013.

5. Which board to choose after 2012 affecting graduates waiting to sit for the board exam? MBLEx or NCBTMB?

6. How to maintain a national credential after the first quarter of 2013 for therapists nationally certified by NCBTMB.
