The Clinical Massage Therapy Program

The Clinical Massage Therapy program was designed to educate and prepare anyone interested to enter in the field of clinical massage therapy.

The student graduated from the Clinical Massage Therapy program will be certified as a Clinical Massage Therapist. After graduation, the clinical massage therapist will have the fundamental knowledge to offer therapeutic massage services to the general population.

The student that graduate from this program could qualify to work in health spas, fitness centers, health clinics, hospitals, massage schools, open his/her own business, or any other location seeking the work of a professional massage therapist.

The Clinical Massage Therapy program is composed of 862 contact hours designed for anyone interested in becoming a professional massage therapist. The curriculum involves the study of human anatomy and physiology; general and clinical massage sciences, health education, business development and legality, and professional ethics.

This program was developed to give the students the basic knowledge on how the human body works under normal health circumstances, and to assist the biologic self-healing mechanism by using the principles and applications of massage therapy, either for maintenance or corrective measurements.

The Clinical Massage curriculum is subdivided into three phases of concentration with each phase of concentration being composed of subject of studies specifically chosen for that area of concentration. The four phases of concentration are Anatomy, physiology, massage therapy, and general education.

ü The first phase focuses on the study of Human Biology.

ü The second phase concentrates on the study of various components of massage therapy and a supervised clinical practice.

ü The third phase includes classes on health education, business development and legality, and professional ethics.
